At Least Steve Beshear is a Honest Jerk

Most of the politicians, who seems to have little understanding of the constitution, give us the sorry excuse of “doing it for the children” when trying to make criminals out of poker players. Meanwhile, they take money from other gambling institutions, such as casinos and horse racing.

Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is doing something different. He is making no secret of the fact he is trying to protect the Kentucky horse racing industry. Of course, he also mentions the kids as part of his efforts. You have to use that scare tactic.

Steve is trying to seize the web doman’s of 141 online gambling sites.

As the Poker Players Alliance pointed out in there response:

“Many of Governor Beshear’s arguments – that online poker is illegal, unregulated and without a mechanism to capture tax revenue – are false. Online poker is not illegal under Kentucky law, is regulated in its home jurisdiction and the Commonwealth of Kentucky chose not to license and regulate poker websites.

“Of the governor truly wants to implement tighter regulations, taxation mechanisms and consumer protections on Internet gambling, the PPA suggests he publicly supports federal legislation by U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank, H.R. 2460, which would achieve those goals.”

AMERICAN’S, VOTE THESE GUYS OUT OF OFFICE AND VOTE IN THOSE THAT WILL RETURN YOUR FREEDOM!
