Here is a good acticle written by Arthur Crowson at Pokerlistings.com. It’s about the Poker Player’s Alliance teaming up with The Bluegrass Institute to discuss the implications of the Kentucky government seizing 141 web site domain names including Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars and Absolute Poker.
Just yesterday I popped up the yahoo webpage and this is the news in showed me.

Look at this list. There are a lot of things going wrong in the world. There are a lot of things that need fixing. But what do out glorious politicians do with their time? They stick their long noses into my home to make sure I am not playing online poker. Oh, of course they still make sure gay people can’t marry, or women don’t have the right to choose, or some other bullshit.
Even if a elected official really thinks that Internet poker is a bad, harmful thing that will destroy our youth, and these same people don’t except money from the horse racing industry or large Vegas Casinos, aren’t there other problems that we know, without a shadow of a doubt, need fixing?
In the state of Washington, the penalty for playing online poker is equal to that of a sex offender. Any well adjusted human being must understand that is not right. In Kentucky, the Governor is attempting to seize all internet gambling domain names. WFT? I thought I was living in a free world. What is going on? Are not domain names a world wide thing?
I will repeat! My home, my money, my time, MY RIGHT!
Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) introduced a new bill into congress. This is a bill that is designed to establish a licensing and regulatory framework which creates, within the U.S., control and oversight over Internet poker and other games of skill.

While a bill such as this would be a wonderful step in giving rights back to Americans, it is doomed to failure. Why? Most politicians don’t give a damn about our rights and are only worried about those who put money in their pockets and a good chunk of American either don’t vote, or don’t care if there freedom is slowly being taken away.
