<p>In the late 60s, Dick Orkin conceived and wrote the Chickenman radio series. He was Public Affairs/Production Director at WCFL, the &#8220;Voice of Labor&#8221; radio station in Chicago. Dick Orkin, award-winning voice actor and commercial radio producer, gained fame in the 70s with his radio spots which NEWSWEEK dubbed The Advertising Theater of the Absurd. &#8211; <strong><em>From <a class="hLink fn n contributor" onmousedown="yt.analytics.urchinTracker('/Events/VideoWatch/ChannelNameLink');" href="http://www.youtube.com/user/BFMDigital">BFMDigital</a> on Youtube</em></strong></p>
<p><strong>Dick Orkin</strong> is an award-winning voice actor and commercial radio producer who created such series as <em><a class="mw-redirect" title="Chicken Man (radio series)" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_Man_%28radio_series%29">Chickenman</a></em> and <em><a class="new" title="The Secret Adventures of the Tooth Fairy (radio series) (page does not exist)" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Secret_Adventures_of_the_Tooth_Fairy_%28radio_series%29&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1">The Secret Adventures of the Tooth Fairy</a></em>. His well-known voice has been used in many radio advertisements and public-service announcements. He is one of the founders of <a class="external text" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.radio-ranch.com/">Radio Ranch</a> &#8211; <strong><em>From <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Orkin" target="_blank">Wikipedia</a>.</em></strong></p>
<p><strong>You can visit The Famous Radio Ranch.</strong></p>
<p>Okay. It’s not really a ranch. Not in the traditional sense. Just like The Home Depot isn’t really a depot. They just call it that. That’s the way it is with us. We call it The Famous Radio Ranch. But it’s really more of an eye-catching two-story building on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, California.</p>
<p>What we do is make all kinds of radio spots. Every day, all day, that’s mostly all we do. [PAUSE] Plus some other stuff, too. -<strong><em> <a href="http://radio-ranch.com/ranch.php" target="_blank">From The Radio Ranch</a></em></strong></p>
