The German Stuntman, Arnim Dahl
Update: I am looking for information on Arnim Dehl. If anyone has information, please let me know. I’m looking for Pictures, stories, rumors, anything. Email me!
underbelly5@gmail.comThis is a entertaining video a few people have put on youtube. The credit it to the 1930’s, but it is actually be reported as Arnim Dahl (March 22, 1922 – August 3, 1998), a German stuntman. This footage was probably sometime in the 1950’s.

Arnim Dahl was one of the first stuntmen in German television. Besides numerous performances as stuntment in films he performed as host for programmes in sixties’ television. Arnim Dahl tells
about his work as a film artist and shows some of his daring feats at the studio. He explains the requirements and conditions under which stunts could be done at all to avoid dangers for life or physical condition. – Birth of Television Archive
- Was the most popular stuntman from Germany.
- Lay more than 40 times in a hospital, and had more than 100 fractures.
- Stayed in total more than 4 years of his life in a hospital.
- Jumped from a 47 meter high crane into the water of the Hamburg harbour.
- Was the double of the moviestars in more than 50 films.
I would have more to say about this stuntman but every search I do just brings me pages in German.

The German Stuntman, Arnim Dahl” said he is the stutman. This is not true. This is John Ciampa.
He is an American. I know the family for years.
They have seen movies of him doing this and other stunts. There should be a correction to this falsehood. How can Arnim Dahl lie and say it was him. He should be ashamed of himself.
I wrote this because the credit should go to John. He was a great man and noone should take credit for his work.
